Booth Types

There are four types of booths at the Catholic Youth Ministry Resource Expo: informational, retail, market place, and vocation/college.

Informational: Exhibitors providing information only are considered informational exhibitors, and may rent booths at the informational exhibitor rate of $550 for members per 10’x10’ space and $650 for nonmembers per 10’x10’ space. Informational exhibitors may not sell products or take orders during the Exposition.

Retail: Exhibitors selling or taking orders for products are retail exhibitors and must rent booths at the retail rate of $750 for members per 10’x10’ space and $850 for nonmembers per 10’x10’ space.

Market Place: The Market Place is a dedicated area within the Resource Expo for retailers/merchandisers whose predominant inventory includes apparel, caps, backpacks, gift items, religious articles, and other Catholic identity items. Exhibitors in the market place area may purchase a maximum of two 10’x10’ booths at the rate of $850 per 10’x10’ space. The market place is comprised of a total of thirty-four booths.

Vocation/College: These slightly smaller booths, 10'x5', are located in either the vocations or college areas, as appropriate. Space in the vocations area is limited to diocesan vocations offices, religious communities, and lay ministry associations. Space in the college area is limited to accredited institutions of higher learning. Exhibitors in the vocations and college areas may purchase up to three 10’x5’ booths at the rate of $250 per space.

Configurations of Space

There are six configurations of booth spaces:

  1. Linear Booths—Linear booths have only one side exposed to an aisle and are arranged in a series along a straight line, and back to other exhibit booths.
  2. Corner Booths—Corner booths are linear booths exposed to aisles on two sides.
  3. Perimeter Booths—Perimeter booths are linear booths that back to an outside wall of the exhibit hall rather than other exhibits.
  4. End Cap Booths— End Cap booths are exposed to aisles on three sides and composed of two booths. (Not available in the Market Place.)
  5. Peninsula Booths—Peninsula booths are exposed to aisles on three sides and composed of four (or more) booths.
  6. Island Booths—Island booths are composed of a minimum of six booths (two of which may need to be used to create an additional aisle) and are exposed to aisles on all four sides. To create an island an exhibitor may have to purchase additional space which cannot be used for display. (Major sponsors of NFCYM events receive priority registration for island booths. A limited number of island booths are available.)

Limitations on Booth Space

NFCYM members may request/purchase up to twelve (12) 10'x10' booths. Nonmembers may request/purchase up to eight (8) 10'x10' booths. Nonmembers located in the Market Place may purchase up to two (2) standard linear booths or one (1) standard linear and one (1) corner booth, each 10'x10'. There will be no end-cap booths in the Market Place area. Only one application per business/company selling the same type of items will be considered. Vocation and college area exhibitors may purchase up to three (3) 10'x5' spaces.
